The founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has quietly acquired $59 million worth of real estate at Lake Tahoe. That is according to exclusive reporting by The Wall Street Journal published Thursday. Per The Journal, the Facebook founder used a limited-liability company, wealth manager and nondisclosure agreements in an attempt to shield the transactions from public view. Click here to finish reading.

The 2019 Amgen Tour of California, America’s premier cycling event, will be the longest and most challenging in its 14-year history, including a Men’s Stage 2 finish from Rancho Cordova to South Lake Tahoe on May 13. With inventory low, buyers are having a tough time finding the perfect home in Lake Tahoe. With so many great lots available and mortgage rates being so low, now is a great time to build! However, there are some regulations in Tahoe that can make it a little more complicated in comparison to other areas. Restrictions on new construction and mandated upgrades for existing homes are put into place for the purpose of preserving, protecting and enhancing the unique environment of our Region. In addition to the normal procedure of obtaining permits to build a home, there is also the Tahoe Regional Planning Association (TRPA), which oversees how large you can build, or even if you can build.
