‘They just want to be here at all costs’: Tahoe real estate inventory can’t keep up with demand 
Tahoe has always been a refuge for the Bay Area, a haven of ski and lake homes that provide the expansive home footprint we can only dream about in San Francisco. Due to the ongoing pandemic, especially with no end in sight, real estate agents are reporting a record-breaking year for home sales and an overall change in how the market itself operates.  Tahoe Fund Fact

Since 2008, the Tahoe Resource Conservation District and the TRPA have run the Lake Tahoe Watercraft Inspection Program. This is no small feat, having inspected over 90,000 boats so far. Because of their hard work, no new aquatic invasive species have entered Lake Tahoe in this 12 year span. By mid-July of this boating season, they intercepted more mussel boats than they did in the entire season last year.   Update on Coronavirus Market Impacts
California’s housing market had several positive signs last week based on broader economic data, market data reported on the MLS last week, a survey of California REALTORS® taken over the weekend and data on the pandemic itself. And yet, even as the housing market remains a relative bright spot, several key economic indicators show that the effects of the recession continue to weigh heavily on the pace of the recovery. According to a survey of California REALTORS®, the market was generally better for them last week across a variety of measures. The percentage of REALTORS® that answered the weekly survey who said they had a buyer withdraw an offer last week fell from 11% the week before to 10% over the weekend. Fewer sellers (13%) removed their homes from the market. More REALTORS® had a listing appointment last week (36%), listed a property (28%), entered escrow (29%), and closed a transaction (32%).
