For everyone who has desires to go to our Mnt. Resorts over the next few days, here’s my suggestion and what’s open…
Heavenly now has Comet open on the Nv. side with… access thru the Gondola with beginner terrain around Tamarack Lodge…Stagecoach will open today with more terrain and access to the mountain and upper runs.
Kirkwood has the most snow and lifts…the front side is completely open, including Timber Creek and beginner runs. The back side will probably be open in the next couple of days.
Sierra-at-Tahoe has expanded terrain and recently opened West Bowl.
North Shore resorts have some of the most snow at the highest elevations with Sugar Bowl having the most lifts and deepest snow…Northstar has some of the best intermediate and beginner runs with very good grooming.
Speaking of grooming, with the recent large fluctuations in temperatures and very wet snow, the best snow conditions will be on the groomed runs at most resorts.
