October 8 – 11, 2015. Arguably the most beautiful marathon in the world, the Lake Tahoe Marathon has grown into a premier, 3-day running festival, attracting thousands of athletes and visitors each year. Athletes will start the Lake Tahoe Marathon 2015 in Homewood on the West Shore and they will wind their way along the West Shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The route includes the world-famous Emerald Bay with views of Vikingsholm Castle and Fanette Island, as well as a trek by the historical sites of Valhalla and Camp Richardson with a beachfront finish at Lakeside Beach in South Lake Tahoe. The all down hill half-marathon event will begin at Emerald Bay and includes the same picturesque route. To finish reading blog, click here. To go to the marathon website, click here.
On Behalf of Deb Howard & Co, we invite you, our dear friends; locals and part time locals, visitors and guests to this must do event of the year as we celebrate the great summer we’ve had and make time for “An evening of food and wine Tasting”. For more info on this fabulous event, click here.
Fifty years ago, community members throughout South Lake Tahoe came together and determined the best course of action for their future was self-governance. After many years of preparing, planning, neighborhood meetings and door-to-door conversations, on November 30, 1965 individual neighborhoods became one city: The City of South Lake Tahoe. On November 7, 2015, the City is hosting the community’s 50th anniversary celebration and “golden gala” at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. The celebration will recognize founding leaders, community organizations, community members and the many accomplishments of the past 50 years. We hope Edgewood Tahoe’s team will join us for this beautiful black-tie event. For more info, click here.
