We always have a great winery lineup with wineries from all over the west coast, and amazing local food for guest to enjoy.  “An Evening of Food and Wine Tasting” raises money to fund the many projects and programs sponsored by Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe. All proceeds are directed back into our community through educational scholarships, youth activity sponsorships and grants to organizations such as the Live Violence Free Center, Tahoe Youth and Family, the Drug Store Project, Christmas Cheer, Girls on the Run, Tahoe Arts Project and numerous projects that enhance services and quality of life in our community. Click here to learn more.
 
To celebrate 25 years of Bavarian-themed fun, Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina is adding new food and games to this year’s Oktoberfest on Oct. 5-6. New sausage varieties, Bavarian beef stew, Beacon beer and brat boil, and for dessert, delicious caramel apples are coming to the menu. There will also be chances to win a mountain bike and purchase 25th-anniversary merchandise including a commemorative glass stein from Germany and signature shirts. The fall festival, a favorite for visitors and locals, runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and entrance and parking for the event are free. Click here to learn more.
